Obstetrics, Gynecological Society to celebrate Women's Day

As part of its corporate social responsibility, Ludhiana Obstetrics and Gynecological Society will celebrate 'Women's Health Mela' on International Women's Day on Sunday.

As part of its corporate social responsibility, Ludhiana Obstetrics and Gynecological Society will celebrate 'Women's Health Mela' on International Women's Day on Sunday.

Members of the society said they have been organising such events every year where several activities are performed focusing women empowerment.

As many as 25 stalls would be set up, which will provide medical aid.

Vitamin D deficiency, hemoglobin test and anemia awareness, bone densitometry test and self-care for diabetics, life after 40, contraception and safe sexual practices, adolescence issues, cancer awareness and screening, cervical and breast cancer, healthy diet for healthy living among other will be put up during the fair.

Besides, awareness on self entrepreneurship and government schemes will also be provided.
Debates on role of women in society, health activities, and skits among other will also be part of the celebrations.
