One dies after pillar collapse

Arvinder Singh (35), a resident of Basti Guzan, died in Gopal Nagar locality Tuesday evening when a pillar of an under construction building collapsed and fell on him. Singh was running a chemist shop near Balmiki gate market and his new house was under construction at Gopal Nagar.

Around 5 pm, when the victim was alone at the construction site, suddenly a pillar fell on him and he was trapped under the debris. Singh died on the spot and his body was taken out by the police with the help of people nearby. The police have registered a case under Section 174 of the CrPC Act.
