Mohammad Asgar, a resident of Lahore district, was apprehended on the evening of May 6 near Attari sector, DIG BSF RPS Jaswal said.

"We interrogated him but nothing objectionable was found from his possession. He had crossed to the Indian side by mistake. On Wednesday, we contacted the Pakistan Rangers and handed him over on the same night," said Jaswal.

He added that during the current year, seven Pakistani "inadvertent border-crossers" have been handed over to Pakistan Rangers by the Border Security Force Punjab Frontier.
