
Polio immunisation on Jan 19 in Hamirpur district
The district administration would immunise 38,962 children up to 5 years of age against polio on January 19. A decision to this effect was taken at a meeting here on Monday under the chairmanship of assitional deputy commissioner Himanshu Shekhar Chaudhary.
Chaudhary said that there would be 282 booths and 1,186 workers for the job. He said that eight transit teams and 22 mobile teams would also be constituted to achieve 100% immunisation.
Chaudhary urged the education department authorities to ensure that information regarding the programme was given to all children in the morning assemblies in all schools of the district. The ADC directed the health authorities to ensure that children of the migrant labourers were also covered under the drive.
