Preacher booked for hurting sentiments of Dera followers

Bathinda police have booked a Sikh priest for allegedly hurting the religious sentiments of Dera Sacha Sauda followers during a function at a local gurdwara on Thursday. The speech was reportedly made on Sunday.

Complainant Harpreet said: "Kuldeep Singh took a dig at the Ram Rahim, claiming that Rahim had named a village in the name of his mother Naseeb kaur and soon he will name another village on his father's name Maghar Singh," reads the complaint.

SHO Harpreet Singh claimed that the complainant had provided no video-recording of the speech. However, case has been registered against the preacher under section 295(a).
