Preneet presides over Vaman Dwadashi events

Congress MLA Preneet Kaur along with BIS Chahal, former media advisor to Capt Amarinder Singh, presided over a string of Vaman Dwadashi festivals across the city on Saturday. It was celebrated with religious fervor in Patiala and tableaux were taken out to mark the historic festival.

Kaur and Chahal were honoured at Jaurian Bhattian, Arya Samaj, Anardana Chowk and Purani Anaj Mandi among other places.

Kaur said the festival was celebrated with enthusiasm in Patiala and Ambala (Haryana). Such festivals promoted brotherhood, she said.

District Congress Committee president Prem Krishan Puri, councillor Sanjiv Bittu and other senior Congress leaders were present.
