Priyanka arrived in Shimla on Thursday afternoon and drove today morning to her cottage which is being constructed close to the Wildflower Hall hotel.

Gandhi spent the more than six hours at the site where she was accompanied by a local Congress leader and a team of architects from Delhi. She briefed the local builder about the roofing and designs of the entrance gate.

This is Priyanka's third visit to her cottage. It is learnt that Priyanka is keen that the construction of the cottage is complete before winter. "Seeing the work progress it appears that the house will be ready by the Navratra's," said a person close to her.

Priyanka on Thursday did not stay at the Wildflower Hall hotel but put up with her friend at a private cottage close to Mashobra, tourist destination.

The cottage is being designed by leading architect, Sunita Kohli, who is also an eminent interior designer, architecture restoration expert and furniture manufacturer conferred with the Padma Shri in 1992 for multidisciplinary design.
