KD Chaudhri, chair mancum-managing director, PSPCL, on Sunday, said that on the persistent demand of the farmers, who have availed connections under the OYT scheme, PSPCL has decided to replace burnt or stolen transformers at its own cost.

He said that farmers were facing difficulty in replacing transformers and the issue was raised by farmer unions in their meetings with the PSPCL management recently.

Chaudhri said that in another relief being provided to farmers, the power corporation has decided to augment transformers installed under the OYT scheme for the farmers who will opt for it under the voluntary disclosure scheme.
