The Council of RTI Activists, Ludhiana, has alleged that Zone-D house tax superintendent Tejinder Pal Singh caused loss amounting to lakhs of rupees to the civic body by taking bribes instead of collecting house tax from owners of buildings in blocks 18, 19 and 26. Tejinder is the house tax superintendent of buildings in these blocks.

The council filed a complaint with the chief vigilance officer, who marked a copy to the MC.

According to sources in the MC, the chief vigilance officer has asked the MC to look into the matter at the earliest.
