Residents of Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar, Guru Teg Bahadur Nagar, Gill Village and Samaj Sewa Society have given an ultimatum to the Greater Ludhiana Area Development Authority (GLADA) to float the tenders for the construction of the two roads in the Project Missing Link.

The residents staged a protest in front of the GLADA office on December 17 and demanded early start of work on the project.

"The officials assured us that they would float tenders within a week but nothing has been done so far," the residents complained.

"The officials had claimed that the work on the project will start in 50 days," they said.

The residents also threatened to go on a hunger strike if their demand was not fulfilled.
