Retd officer posts video of military area, booked

Investigation officer Jatinderpal Singh said the case had been registered on the complaint of Col AS Sidhu, who alleged that the accused had uploaded videos of the military cantonment area on YouTube and other social networking sites.

The police said the complainant alleged that the videos in which safai sewaks were carrying out a cleanliness drive carried shots of interiors of the Cantonment area, raising security concerns.

A few months ago, Ramanpal Singh spearheaded agitations of safai sewaks against the army authorities for not giving adequate payments and daily wages to the sewaks.
