Two cops have been booked for molesting a woman under custody at a city police station here on Wednesday after a woman cop present on the spot lodged a formal complaint against her male colleagues.

The accused cops were identified as constables, Jagga and Jai Bhagwan, who were also put under suspension, after the registration of a case under section 354 (outraging modesty).
As per details, police had the woman along with another man on Tuesday over a complaint of mobile phone theft from Pahada Mohalla.
In presence of constable Saroj, the two constables tried to molest the girl in the name of frisking her to recover the stolen mobile phone.
Deputy superintendent of police, Yashpal Khatana said that they had received a written complaint from the woman constable Saroj about the misconduct of the accused cops.
The accused were also booked under the SC/ST Act and a departmental probe has been ordered.
A special investigation team headed by DSP-level police officer has been formed to investigate the matter.
