Schools across Sangrur district mourn Peshawar attacks

Scores of students from various schools of the district mourned the cold-blooded murder of innocent students and teachers by terrorist outfit Taliban in Pakistan's Peshawar city on Tuesday.On Wednesday, all private and government schools in the district observed a two-minute silence following an appeal by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Students took part in prayer sessions and observed a two-minute silence to show their solidarity for Pakistani students.

Delhi Public School organised a special assembly to remember schoolchildren killed in the Peshawar attack.
"It is a shocking incident and we appealed to our students to join in for prayers for the peace of the departed souls," said KJ Jose, director of Delhi Public School.

The management of Golden Earth Globle School observed a two-minute silence as well and also screened a film for students.

"The film was based on human values and ethics, and the fact that humanity was above any religion," said a teacher of the school.


STUDENTS OBSERVE 'ARDAS'

Students of Baba Zorawar Singh Fateh Singh Senior Secondary School in Fatehgarh Sahib paid their tribute to victims of the Peshawar terror attacks during their morning assembly. For the peace of the departed souls, students observed a two-minute silence and special 'ardas'.
