Security beefed up; 300 cops on duty
In view of Diwali festival on Sunday, heavy police force has been deployed to avoid any untoward incident. On Saturday, special check posts were set up and vehicles were subjected to extensive checks.

In view of Diwali festival on Sunday, heavy police force has been deployed to avoid any untoward incident. On Saturday, special check posts were set up and vehicles were subjected to extensive checks.
Police personnel could be seen taking rounds of market areas to keep a tab on anti-social elements and instill a sense of security among the public.
More than 300 police personnel have been deployed.
“Special checking will be carried out in coming days to check smuggling of liquor, drugs and spurious food material in the district”, said official. Health department officials could be seen carrying out inspections.
