‘Akhand path’ was performed at Akal Takht to observe Dilawar’s 21st death anniversary. However, unlike previous years, most SGPC officials kept away from it.
Darbar Sahib manager Sulakhan Singh presented ‘siropas’ to Dilawar Singh’s brother Chamkaur Singh and other relatives in attendance, but no speeches were delivered in the open. The organisers just read out a message of Jagtar Singh Hawara, who has been convicted for Beant Singh’s murder and was appointed the parallel jathedhar during the radical ‘Sarbat Khalsa’ last year.
