SHO suspended for lapses in chief minister's security

Senior superintendent of police Ravcharan Singh Brar said that the decision was taken on a report from SP (detective) Naveen Singla, suggesting lapses in security arrangements.
"The report mentions that view-cutters (devices that cut off visibility from nearby buildings) were not placed for the visit," said the SSP.
The report also mentions that when SP, CM security, Gurmeet Singh, visited the area, he also found the SHO resting in a vehicle, a violation of rules.
An inquiry was conducted on the report and the SHO was found guilty of charges mentioned. A departmental inquiry has also been constituted against the SHO and he will be summoned for further investigation.
