Suspected drug addict charged with killing mother
A woman was murdered at the hands of her son allegedly on Saturday at in a village in Fazilka district. The victim, Kaushalya Bai (46) of Fatehgarh village did not have cordial relations with her son, Sanjeev (23), who was on drugs, the police have stated.

A woman was murdered at the hands of her son allegedly on Saturday at in a village in Fazilka district. The victim, Kaushalya Bai (46) of Fatehgarh village did not have cordial relations with her son, Sanjeev (23), who was on drugs, the police have stated.
On Thursday, the woman and her son again had a clash, during which Sanjeev is alleged to have injured her with a knife. The woman was admitted to a local hospital and then shifted to Government Medical College, Faridkot, where she succumbed to her injuries on Saturday night.
The police have registered a case under Section 302 (murder) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
