Swiss scientist visits PAU

Dr Peter Marty, a scientist from Zurich University of Applied Sciences, Zurich, Switzerland visited Punjab Agricultural University (PAU), on Wednesday.

He held discussions with director of research, SS Gosal and other scientists of the varsity to explore possible areas of collaborations and student exchange programme between PAU and ZUAS.

Dr Marty, who is also the head of the Rural Regional Development Group at the Institute of National Resource Sciences, ZUAS gave a detailed presentation about the institute

In his address, Gosal shared the research system of PAU. He also apprised the visiting scientist about the research being conducted on various crops.

PK Chunneja, professor of entomology briefed about the teaching programmes of the university.

In the end, Marty was also presented with a souvenir and shown the Museum of Social History of Punjab and Dr MS Randhawa Library at PAU.
