Reacting to Congress MLA Sukhjinder Randhawa slapping Pathankot district Congress Sewa Dal president IS Gulati at a party protest at Dinanagar on Wednesday, expelled party leader Bir Devinder Singh demanded disciplinary action against the legislator.

“It’s ironical that Punjab Congress president Captain Amarinder Singh made Randhawa the head of the disciplinary committee to recommend action against a senior leader like me. Now Randhawa should be expelled for slapping a party leader as it is not just indiscipline but a criminal offence under the Indian Penal Code. Either Amarinder should now take action against his cronies or I should be reinstated for being expelled by a man like Randhawa,” Bir Devinder said.
