Two arrested for cheating bank

The Haryana Police have arrested two people accused of forgery and cheating Punjab National Bank's Kundli branch in Sonepat. A police spokesman said the accused have been identified as Sanjeev of Sainik Nagar, Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, and Yogesh of Guru Angad Nagar, Delhi.

The Haryana Police have arrested two people accused of forgery and cheating Punjab National Bank's Kundli branch in Sonepat.

A police spokesman said the accused have been identified as Sanjeev of Sainik Nagar, Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, and Yogesh of Guru Angad Nagar, Delhi.

He said a complaint was registered by director of Tirupati Batteries, Dinesh Mittal that Sanjeev Dikshit, Yogesh and Sanjeev took a loan of `4 crore from Kundli branch of Punjab National Bank by keeping the registry of their firm, namely Tirupati Batteries Industries, Patparganj, in Delhi as guarantee. It was later discovered that the registry was fake.

Cases were registered against the accused at Kundli police station under various sections of the Indian Penal Code, the spokesman said.
