Two J&K residents held with pistol, cartiridges in Pathankot

Both the arrested men belong to Kathua district in Jammu region.

Special Task Force (STF) sleuths on Sunday arrested two Jammu and Kashmir residents along with a .32 bore revolver and six live cartridges during a checking drive at Chakki Bridge in Pathankot.

Two grams of heroin was also recovered from the duo who were driving a white Swift car bearing number JK08C 6985.

STF in-charge Bharta Bhushan told media persons that the accused have been identified as Sartaz Singh and Kamaljit Singh, both of Kathua district in the Jammu region and have been booked under various sections of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act and Arms Act and have been produced in a court for remand.

Police said they have impounded the car and the accused are being quizzed.
