UK study visa: TB clearance a must

Student seeking UK study visa for more than 6 months would now have to submit valid tuberculosis (TB) clearance certificate. 'You do need a TB clearance certificate if you are coming to the UK on a 6 month student visitor visa,' a UK border agency release stated.

'You do need a TB clearance certificate if you are coming to the UK on a 6 month student visitor visa,' a UK border agency release stated.

As many as 40 clinics across the country have been approved by UK border agency and students had been directed to procure clearance certificates from those clinics only. "The list of approved clinics has been uploaded on agency's web-portal for students' convenience," said agency officials.

Visa applications made in India from this month (November) would have to provide the certificate.
