Under-19 basketball tournament begins
On the first day of the under-19, zonal-level basketball tournament, Bahadur Chand Munjal School, Chandigarh Road, thrashed Bhartiya Vidya Mandir School in Kitchlu Nagar by 29-15 points at Guru Nanak Dev Stadium here.

While playing against Arya Senior Secondary School, PS Khalsa Senior Secondary School put up a spectacular show and won the match by 24-09 points.
The match between Amrit Indo Canadian Academy and Government Senior Secondary School in Cemetery Road turned out to be a one-sided affair with the Academy winning the match by 29-06 points.
At the time of filing this report, the matches for under-17 and under-19 age groups were yet to be played.
The quarterfinals and semi-finals of the tournament will be played on Thursday morning. The best players of the tournament will represent Ludhiana in several school tournaments later this month.
