The volunteers are directed by the government to conduct a household survey to identify out-of-school children-the job that requires them to go door-to-door to trace students.

These volunteers rue that if the government would not release their salaries, they would be forced to intensify their protest.

It is worth mentioning that these volunteers are getting Rs 2,500 a month for conducting the household survey.
