Mohinder Singh Guloo visited the house of local BJP MLA Manoranjan Kalia to extend the unconditional support of his wife and new councillor Kamaljit Kaur to the ruling alliance.

Asked why he along with his wife did not formally join the BJP, Guloo avoided the query and said that he was at present extending support to the ruling alliance in general and BJP in particular.

Welcoming Gullu's expression of support on behalf of his wife, Kalia said that the SAD-BJP now has a clear majority in the MC and the mayor's name would be announced within a couple of days.

Kalia hinted that a majority of Independent councillors would either join the BJP or the SAD in the days to come.
