Inaugurating the workshop, RK Chaubisa from Rajasthan Institute of Public Administration, Jodhpur, said the RTI had been playing an important role in the development of the nation and had also ensures the accountability of the administration.
Chaubisa addressed the students and professors from several education institutes at varsity auditorium.
"The RTI act is serving as an important tool to fight against corruption. It has attained much more than what could be achieved by registering FIRs and cases through police and various investigative agencies.
Outlining the importance of the RTI, Sewa Singh Dahia of Maharishi Dayanand University, Hisar, said, "The act has proved to be a highly effective tool to fight against corruption."
