“This major tournament will attract the youth towards hockey and we are hopeful of a sharp increase in orders for sticks and other equipment,” Sports Forum president Sanjay Kohli told HT.
Kohli, owner of the hockey manufacturing unit known for the Rakshak brand, said Jalandhar had about 70 units which made hockey sticks and ancillary products of the sport.

“Hockey manufacturers are keen to rope in WSH players, including foreigners, to promote their brands. We are also expecting orders from countries such as England and Netherlands,” he added.
