Youth held for posting anti-CM remarks on FB
The Amritsar rural police have arrested a youth under sedition charges for playing a role in organising the radicals’ Sarbat Khalsa and also posting an objectionable comment about chief minister Parkash Singh Badal on Facebook.

The Amritsar rural police have arrested a youth under sedition charges for playing a role in organising the radicals’ Sarbat Khalsa and also posting an objectionable comment about chief minister Parkash Singh Badal on Facebook.
Semior superintendent of police (SSP) Jasdeep Singh said, “The arrested youth, Bikramjit Singh (25), had played a role in organising the Sarbat Khalsa and had also distributed posters and flags of Khalistan. Besides, he had also announced a hefty cash reward for killing the CM, in a Facebook post”.
He added, “This was really serious, so we added his name in the FIR registered at Chattiwind police station.”
He said the accused was remanded in judicial custody by a local court on Thursday.
