Youth held for raping minor cousin
A 20-year-old youth was arrested on Saturday on the charges of raping his eight-year-old cousin. The victim's mother, a resident of Kumbra village here, told the police that her sister's son Shyam had come to visit the family from Uttar Pradesh and committed the crime on Friday evening.

A 20-year-old youth was arrested on Saturday on the charges of raping his eight-year-old cousin. The victim's mother, a resident of Kumbra village here, told the police that her sister's son Shyam had come to visit the family from Uttar Pradesh and committed the crime on Friday evening.
The police registered a case under Section 376 (punishment for rape) of the India Penal Code (IPC) and Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012, against the accused. He was produced in a court, which sent him in three days' police remand.
