96 movie trailer, jukebox: Vijay Sethupathi and Trisha’s romance is sure to tug at your heart
The trailer and audio of Vijay Sethupathi and Trisha’s film 96 released on Friday.
Vijay Sethupathi and Trisha’s 96 received a great response from fans when the teaser came out two months back. Now the film’s trailer has set hearts racing with the stunning chemistry between Trisha, who plays the role of Jaanu, and Vijay Sethupathi, who essays the character of Ram. Theirs is a school romance that didn’t fade with age. As they meet each other after years, Ram’s hair has grayed but that has no effect on Jaanu at all.
The two relive their high school memories by sharing food, playfully hitting each other and just looking into each other’s eyes. Jaanu even convinces Ram to dye his hair black, and the scene where he looks at the mirror shyly will bring a smile to your face. A two-minute trailer tells us so much about Ram and Jaanu and yet ensures that we are invested enough in these character. Director and writer Prem Kumar has paid attention to details, which makes the trailer a great start before the movie is released. The flashback sequence in the trailer, which shows the beginning of first love, is heartwarming.
The jukebox of the film also released on Friday and Govind Vasantha, who is also a part of the popular band Thaikkudam Bridge, has composed some soulful tunes for the film. The makers had released Kadhale Kadhale, which played out in the background of the teaser, and now in the trailer as well and fans raved about the song on social. Similarly, the audio album has also received a great response. Singer Chinmayi’s voice is sure to keep you hooked the songs.
The film produced by Madras Enterprises does not have an official date of release as of yet. However, reports suggest that the film may be slated to release on September 13 and clash with Sivakarthikeyan’s Seema Raja.
