Akhil first look: An action-flick for Nagarjuna son’s debut
The first poster of Akhil was released on Friday. At first glance, it looks powerful enough to do justice to a star son's launch: We only see the back of a towering man holding, what looks like, a ball of fire.
Star kids are launched with great fanfare in Indian movies, but in eight out of 10 cases, they turn out to be duds. Remember Abhishek Bachchan, Rajiv Kapoor and Bobby Deol? The hysteria around their debut films didn't measure up to their longevity in the industry, falling by the wayside as disastrous shadows of their most illustrious fathers. But there are some star kids -- like Farhan Akhtar, Mahesh Babu, Hrithik Roshan, Ranbir Kapoor, Ram Charan Teja, and Rana Daggubati -- who've carved a niche for themselves in the industry and promise much more than their fathers.
Telugu superstar Nagarjuna will be hoping his second son Akhil will carry forward his legacy when he debuts in Akhil: The Power of Jua. The first poster of the film was released on Friday. The overwhelmingly black-and-grey look hints that it is a more-action oriented film, definitely not like most launch-pad tend to be. The second poster is pretty much the same shot, but taken from another angle. We see a man dressed in contemporary, casual clothes -- a figure-hugging T-shirt, cargo pant and combat boots. Sayesha Saigal, the grand niece of actors Dilip Kumar and Saira Banu, is reported to be the female lead, marking her Telugu debut.

The film is been directed by VV Vinayak while Anup Rubens and S Thaman have given the music for the film. Amol Rathod will take care of its cinematography.
