Case against Honey Bee 2 director Jean Paul Lal for making lewd comments at actress

The actor said that the sexual remarks were made by the four -- Jean Paul Lal, Sreenath Bhasi and two others -- when she had gone to a hotel in Panangad to ask for her payment.

A case has been filed against Malayalam director Jean Paul Lal, actor Sreenath Bhasi and two others for making lewd comments at a female actor. The four worked together in Honey Bee 2: Celebrations and the female actor was also a part of the film.

Sreenath Bhasi, who stars in Honey Bee 2: Celebrations, too has been named in the actor’s statement to the police.

According to a report on Manorama Online, the female actor alleged that she was not paid the sum agreed upon and that crude remarks were made against her. She has filed a case, basis which Panangad police have started investigating.

Honey Bee 2 has been directed by Jean Paul Lal, son of popular Malayalam actor Lal. Sreenath Bhasi is also a part of the film’s cast.

The other two involved in the case are technicians, Anoop and Anirudh, working on the same film.

As per the actor’s statement, she had gone to a hotel in Panangad to ask for the payment and that’s when the accused made the sexual remarks.

Meanwhile, actor Lal said the said the female actor never reported to work on time, which, in turn, impacted the film’s progress. He also alleged that the actor demanded Rs 10 lakh for her work that she never completed. “We even had to change the script because of her,” Lal was quoted by Manorama Online as saying.
