The event, the BIG Star Entertainment Awards, was held Sunday. Amitabh received two awards, and he was overwhelmed.

"Oh dear me lots of things to say... just back from Big Star Entertainment Awards and... they gave me two awards... best actor in social role for Aarakshan and the second for the Complete Entertainer of the year... I am blessed!!" Amitabh posted on micro-blogging site Twitter Sunday night.

When Amitabh received the awards, Dhanush, son-in-law of movie icon Rajinikanth, stood up and sang a 'Big B' version of Kolaveri Di.

Amitabh described the moment through a tweet, saying: "And... when complete Entertainer announced, Dhanush sings live from audience, a Kolaveri Di number, but words to suit the occasion!! Dhanush's words were 'Why this Kolaveri, Kolaveri, Kolaveri... B... big B... TRP'. Brilliant absolutely!! So lovable and so good!"

The award function saw Bollywood's who's who.
