Junior NTR not part of Savitri biopic Mahanati, publicist rubbishes rumours
On Thursday, some reports suggested that Junior NTR would be part of Keerthy Suresh starrer Mahanati, a biopic on actor Savitri. His publicist, however, denied it.
On Thursday, reports surfaced online that Junior NTR, currently busy shooting for Jai Lava Kusa, has landed a cameo in Savitri biopic, Mahanati. In no time, the news became a sensation online and the actor’s fans went berserk. However, the report was subsequently rubbished by his publicist who confirmed there’s no truth in NTR being part of the project, much to the disappointment of his fans. Earlier, reports had made headlines that Vidya Balan would be roped in to play the titular role. However, actor Keerthy Suresh bagged the opportunity to play the veteran actor.
Meanwhile, Malayalam heartthrob Dulquer Salmaan joined the sets of the film on Thursday in Hyderabad. In the film, being directed by Nag Ashwin, the Charlie actor will be playing yesteryear actor Gemini Ganesan, who was married to Savitri. Originally, Madhavan was considered for the role but we don’t know for sure why he didn’t accept the offer. Being produced on a lavish budget, the film will require extensive art work, especially to recreate the long forgotten era.
