Kadai Kutty Singam new stills: Karthi channels the farmer in him
Of all the new stills that were unveiled, one of the most striking ones is a picture that features Karthi in a rural avatar.
On Pongal this year, actor Karthi’s next film was announced by his brother Suriya. Called Kadai Kutty Singam in Tamil (Chinnababu in Telugu), the film will feature Karthi in a rural avatar. He plays a farmer. Suriya unveiled the first poster of the film which showed Karthi riding a bike. Now, new pictures from the film are out and they give us a much better area of the film and the rest of the cast.
One of the most striking pictures is the one which features Karthi is the process of sowing saplings, possibly paddy, in an open field. It is a picture of rural bliss -- Karthi with saplings in ankle-deep water in paddy fields is wonderful to watch. Another picture has him sitting close to his onscreen leading lady, Sayyeshaa. Yet another one is a family picture and has some familiar faces such as Sathyaraj, Bhanupriya and Ponvannan.
The film will also feature a newcomer, Priya Bhavani Shankar. Directed by Pandiraj, the film is also Karthi’s maiden collaboration with 2D Entertainment, which is owned by his brother Suriya. The company has produced films such as 36 Vayadhinile, 24 and Pasanga 2 so far. Kadai Kutty Singam has music by D Imman.
