Kamal Haasan unveils Vishwaroopam 2 posters in the midst of Baahubali 2 storm
Actor-filmmaker Kamal Haasan shifted the focus from SS Rajamouli’s magnum opus Baahubali 2 when he unveiled posters (same poster in different languages) of his long-delayed project Vishwaroopam 2 on Tuesday evening. In no time, the posters took the internet by storm and the star’s fans rejoiced as they finally got something to celebrate after a long hiatus. Having been lying in the cans for nearly two years, the film has been revived after Haasan’s Raaj Kamal International took over the release rights from original producer Aascar Ravichandran.
“My producer was multitasking with many films but I have now taken over the responsibility of taking my product to the audience. All the actors are returning, even those who died in the first part. The surprise new addition is Waheeda Rehman ji.” He confirmed that the sequel will take on terrorism. “Not only the film but all of us will, again and again, take on terrorism,” he asserted. While the first part was set in the US, the sequel has been shot in India as well as several international locations,” Haasan was quoted an interview by Mumbai Mirror. The film’s posters were released in Tamil, Hindi and Telugu.
Written and directed by Haasan himself, the film also stars Pooja Kumar, Andrea Jeremiah, Rahul Bose and Shekhar Kapur in pivotal roles. The film will explore the mother-son sentiment between Haasan and Waheeda Rahman, who has played a pivotal role.
