Nirup Bhandari will play the role of Abhi in this romantice comedy.

Nirup Bhandari is yet again teaming with his brother, director Anup Bhandari, after their successful outing Rangitarangaa. The film titled Rajaratha also stars Avantika Shetty who was a part of the previous film too. The new poster released by the makers is sure to tickle your funny bone. Nirup is featured as a student superhero who has managed to score 35% in exams. The cape and the superhero suit, combined with the red boxers and the girls’ hostel in the background, look hilarious.

Nirup will play the role of Abhi, a student at Fern Hill Engineering College. Rangitarangaa was a mystery thriller and director Anup Bhandari, by choosing to do a romantic comedy, has strayed to the other end of the spectrum in terms of genre.

This film will also mark the debut of Tamil actor Arya, who will play a pivotal role in the film. His look in the movie was also released on social media. This film will be bilingual and release in Kannada and Telugu. Speaking about this film to Deccan Chronicle, Anup said, “I had this subject in my mind, all thought out before Rangitarangaa, but due to budget issues, we started with Rangitarangaa. We had intended to do the film with a nominal budget, but it eventually ended up being quite a costly affair.”

In the same report, Anup also explained that he chose to do a romantic comedy because he did not want to be typecast into making a certain kind of film. He also revealed that the screenplay for this project is experimental. “Along with a fresh narrative and an experimental screenplay, we have used unconventional methods to keep the audience smiling from ear-to-ear throughout Rajaratha,” he said.
