Simran to act opposite Rajinikanth in Karthik Subbaraj project?

The speculation suggests Simran has been approached to work opposite Rajinikanth in the Karthik Subbaraj film.

Directed by Pa Ranjith, Rajinikanth’s upcoming release Kaala is the most awaited release at present. At the same time, his upcoming project with director Karthik Subbaraj has also garnered attention of the audience. The industry is abuzz with speculation that actor Simran will be cast opposite the superstar in this project.

Simran might be cast opposite Rajinikanth in an upcoming film.

If Simran does work on this project, this would be their first film together. Simran has worked with Ajith, Vijay, Suriya and Kamal Haasan in the past, but never had the opportunity to work with Rajinikanth. She was supposed to work with the actor in Chandramukhi but backed out after realising she was pregnant. The role went to Jyothika later.

The Rajinikanth starrer will be produced by Sun Pictures and the team has also confirmed that Vijay Sethupathi will play a pivotal role in the film. The movie will have music scored by Anirudh Ravichander and the film is tipped to be an action thriller.

Hindustan Times approached Karthik Subbaraj’s team but there is no confirmation as of now.

Simran is currently working on multiple projects including Vikram’s Dhruva Natchathiram, directed by Gautham Vasudev Menon.
