Superstar Mohanlal set for television debut with Lal Salaam

After stars Akkineni Nagarjuna and Chiranjeevi, it’s now the turn of Malayalam superstar Mohanlal to make his presence felt on television.

Television has finally caught the attention of actors who are using it as a medium to expand their base beyond cinema-going youngsters. After popular southern stars such as Akkineni Nagarjuna and Chiranjeevi, it’s the turn of Malayalam superstar Mohanlal to make his presence felt on television. The actor’s fans have a reason to celebrate as the Drishyam star is all set to make to his debut on TV via the show Lal Salaam, to be aired on Amrita TV.

The show will feature 100 episodes. Mohanlal recently revealed the logo of the programme through a special video he shared via his Facebook page. Going by the glimpse of the visuals, it looks like a chat show where he will be seen getting very candid with his guests. In the promotional video, actor Manju Warrier is seen sharing the screen with Mohanlal, and seems very excited about being part of the show.

On the career front, Mohanlal is busy wrapping up Odiyan and is gearing up for the release of Velipadinte Pusthakam, a Lal Jose film due to hit the screens on September 1. It will be interesting to see how Mohanlal’s presence on television makes an impact to his career.
