The colour palette of the poster reflects the title of the film, Chekka Chivantha Vaanam (The red hued sky). It also hints at bloodshed that would a part of the film. The action movie is produced jointly by Lyca Productions and Mani Ratnam’s home banner Madras Talkies. The filmmakers have kept most of the details under wraps. There have been reports that the film is based on industrial pollution that affects the lives of people. Speculations are rife that one of the four main leads plays a cop.
