The study, published in the Journal of Sexual Medicine, found that men experience orgasm during sex with a familiar partner 85% of the time on average compared to 63% for women.

"Lesbians experience orgasm during sex 75% of the time, compared to 62% for straight women and 58% for bisexual women," said researchers from Indiana University.
The study involved over 6,500 US men and women between ages 21-65.

According to them, "one possible explanation is that…lesbian women are more comfortable and familiar with the female body and thus, on average, are better able to induce orgasm in their female partners".
Women also have more varied types of orgasm than men. Overall, men experienced more orgasms in bed than women, the study noted.
