Cruelty to women is increasing day every day. At times, it gets out of hand. Derogatory comments are made about women. Characters are judged on the basis of their clothes and lifestyle.

But the fact is that women shoulder major responsibilities at home despite going out to work is conveniently forgotten. It’s no easy task to strike a balance between one’s personal and professional lives.

Even without a sound educational background, women manage money matters better than men. In some sections, they are respected and treated on par with men. After all, how can one forget their contributions to society?

Understanding women
Men have always made mistakes in understanding women. They don’t empathise over their feelings and sentiments. This is the root of all problems.

Often, men don’t admit to their mistakes. But, women forgive and forget mistakes committed by men. They suffer different kinds of men — spendthrifts, alcoholics and even womanisers. It’s worse if they are married to one. It requires grit to come out of such a marriage. It’s time men give women their due instead of demeaning them.
