Padma Lakshmi has denied that her marriage to acclaimed author Salman Rushdie ended because of her infidelity.

Lakshmi filed for divorce from Rushdie in July after a three-year marriage and was rumoured to have cheated with Ted Forstman who was late Princess Diana's former suitor. But Lakshmi vehemently denies that she was unfaithful, reports contactmusic.com.

She said "What can I say Salman is the greatest love of my life. We really tried to work it out. I wish I could tell you exactly why (it ended), but there was no 'That's it' moment. It was just like slowly getting very hard. There was no third party. I wasn't mean to his kids. There was no infidelity".

However, a source told Vanity Fair magazine Lakshmi and Forstmann are an item. They are dating.
