India will chase medals in weightlifting, athletics, para athletics and swimming on Day 7 of CWG 2026, while six boxers fight for semifinal spots on July 29.
Day 7 of the Commonwealth Games promises to be another important one for India as the contingent looks to build on its medal haul in Glasgow. The country will have an early opportunity to add to its tally with Sanjana competing in the women's 77kg weightlifting event. In para athletics, Devender Kumar, Sagar Thayat, Mohammed Basil M and Dilip Mahadu Gavit will be among the medal contenders, while Suyash Narayan Jadhav and Chaitanya Vishwas Kulkarni will hope to progress from the heats and qualify for the men's 50m freestyle S7 final in para swimming. India will also be in contention in athletics, with several athletes featuring in medal events across the day. Meanwhile, the boxing ring will be packed with Indian action as six pugilists enter the quarterfinal stage. Sakshi Choudhary, Arundhati Choudhary, Sachin Siwach, Ankush Yadav, Narender Berwal and Jaismine Lamboria will all be looking to book semifinal spots and move one step closer to the podium.
