British actor Jude Law has become father for the fourth time as his former lover Samantha Burke gave birth to a baby girl in his absence.

Burke was due for delivery on October 6, but her daughter was born Tuesday night, reported femalefirst.co.uk. Law, who has three other kids with ex-wife Sadie Frost, had vowed to stand by Burke and help to raise the child, but he was reportedly not present during the child birth.

"I doubt Jude was there. Besides the financial support, he's not involved," a source has been quoted as saying.

Burke had earlier demanded $150,000 annually to keep herself and the child in style.
