London is the most expensive city for a cheap date ($121) while in Tokyo one needs $100 for a burger-movie-drinks date, reported CNN.

Others in the list include Moscow and Rio with $69 and $59 respectively.

Sanjeev Sanyal, a Deutsche Bank strategist, told CNBC that Cheap Date Index was a proxy for the cost of living without taking in account the real estate costs.
