Zero-gravity porn: Shooting sex in space comes at a stiff cost
Adult video streaming site PornHub, which claims to be the world’s largest online pornography portal, is crowdfunding for a sex tape that will be filmed in zero-gravity space.
Having sex will be an out-of-the-world experience for adult performers Eva Lovia and Johnny Sinns, quite literally.

“Pornhub is teaming up with top ranking adult studio Digital Playground in joining the ranks of Neil Armstrong and Yuri Gagarin by pioneering a one-of-a-kind mission to defy gravity, make history, and push the boundaries of intergalactic ‘Sexploration’ by filming the first ever sex tape in space,” the site posted on crowdfunding website IndieGogo as it appealed for $3.4 million.
The money would be used to fund shuttle seating for crew members and the performers apart from space-oriented video equipment. The company will front the costs for other pre/post-production aspects.
Lovia, the female performer who would be trained for the act, can’t wait to wear her ‘sextronaut’ suit.
“I am beyond excited and yes, of course, I am nervous. Space is a very intimidating place!” the 26-year-old adult performer told Hindustan Times in an email interview. “Just to be a pioneer on this project is incredible. Plus, if it ends up being zero gravity (sex) that just adds to the excitement,” she added.

On being asked by The Washington Post whether it was merely a publicity stunt, a top PornHub official said: “This is actually 100% real. We’ve done all of the necessary legwork in terms of logistics...”
Johnny Sins, Lovia’s partner in the ‘sexploration’, said in PornHub’s IndieGogo video: “I’ve had sex pretty much everywhere and every way you can imagine... I’ve had sex on almost every different continent with all kinds of different women. Don’t get me wrong: I love what I do and who I do, but this is a really unique opportunity to break ground in the adult industry.”

While there are porn videos purportedly depicting sex in space, this would be the first authentic attempt, according to Lovia. “(The other movies were not shot in) space zero-gravity. We are breaking the atmospheric level.”
With big money involved in their endeavour, PornHub had to be sure they picked the right people for the job. Well, seems like they have just the performer. “I like sex and attention so that’s how (I entered porn the industry)... haha,” Lovia told HT.
PornHub has raised over $12,000 in a single day on the crowdfunding website. There are several perks for those who help fund the campaign. A $150,000 donation will get you “one of the 2 spacesuits worn by our sextronauts complete with underwear, plus a swag bag!”

When will the movie be made? “Following the end of our campaign, our crew will receive six months of rigorous training before they’re able to be launched into space. Once trained and certified, our team members will be entering space via a consumer space shuttle... We expect Sexplorations to launch late 2016.”
How easy would it be for Lovia and Sinns to accomplish what they have set out for? If astronauts have had space sex, it would have been very difficult. “For one thing, zero gravity can induce nausea—a less-than-promising sign for would-be lovers. Astronauts also perspire a lot in flight, meaning sex without gravity would likely be hot, wet, and surrounded by small droplets of sweat. In addition, people normally experience lower blood pressure in space, which means reduced blood flow, which means … well, you know what that means,” an article published by Slate.com said in 2007.
