MUMBAI: Prakash Padukone has backed Saina Nehwal to add to her bronze medal in the Rio Olympics. Padukone also expects a good show by PV Sindhu.

“Saina and Sindhu have the best chance of a medal. Saina has a good chance because she has beaten all the players at least once. She is on the right track and recently won the Australian Open, plus she is free of injuries. Srikanth too has a good chance but it is going to be tough so I will give him an outside chance,” he said.

Padukone said it was important to be at their best during the event. “It does not matter what you do the previous week or the week after. That one week (period) you have to be at your peak,” he added.
