MUMBAI: Bandra’s Young Guns SC and Somaiya Vidhyavihar SC split points following a 1-1 draw in the Mumbai District Football Association’s Second Division league at the St Xavier’s ground, Parel.

The Bandra outfit forged ahead through Tarang Maheswari’s goal in the third minute but the Vidhyavihar outfit found the equaliser through Aditya Raichura in the 60th minute.

PATHROSE NETS BRACE

Pathrose Uruvath struck twice in the second half to take hosts St Francis D’Assisi, Borivali past SK Somaiya Vinay Mandir with a 3-1 win in the boys’ under-19 match of the Divisional Sports Office’s district-level football tournament. It was Chris Gomes who gave D’Assisi the lead before Pathrose’s brace. For the losers, Neeraj Kodalkar struck the consolation goal.

In another tie, KJ Somaiya also outplayed Bhavan’s, Andheri 3-1, with a goal each form Arthana Sawant, Shubham Verma and Abhishek Bhagat.
