The 10th seeded Indo-Chinese combo caused an upset with a comfortable 6-0 6-3 victory over their sixth-seeded opponents in just 40 minutes at the All England Club.
They will now take on the second-seeded American duo of Mike Bryan and Lisa Raymond.
Bopanna-Zheng's dominance was evident from the fact that they got a whopping 86 per cent conversion of their first serve points. Their percentage of winning points on second serve was also as high as 73 per cent.
They converted four of the nine breakpoints they got, while not giving away a single break chance to their rivals.

Former doubles champions Venus and Serena Williams proved too good for the 13th seeds on the day, as they cruised to a 6-4, 6-3 victory and advanced to the quarters. This was their second match of the day.
